Placement of the prosthesis increases skin temperature of the stump
This study quantifies the skin temperature of the stump of the amputated lower at rest and walking. The sensors were placed within five amputated below the knee prostheses, and skin temperature were measured while the amputees rested for 15 minutes and then walk on a treadmill for 10 minutes. The use of a prosthesis and the remaining 15 minutes saw the skin temperature of the residual limb amputees increase of 0.8 C. Amputated after completing a walk of 10 minutes, the skin temperature increased by a total of 1.This information can help to aid understanding of where and why to develop the problems of skin remaining members and to establish design requirements for new prosthetic socket systems.

The researchers applied Plexis stimuli pelvic four cats with and without anesthesia in the bladder neck and bladder wall.bladder neck was advantageous in several examples from a higher place on the wall of the bladder. Side effects of stimulation have been a limitation in some cases. The researchers suggest that the micro-stimulators to be studied as a treatment of severe urinary retention.
